I love trying and experimenting with new products. Over the years I have spent a small fortune on perfecting my skin care routing and overall lifestyle to keep my breakouts and bay.
Here I will summarise what I would consider to be my perfect skin care routine and how it has helped my acne.
1. Steam
I used to use the sauna and steam room regularly at the gym and it was only when the gyms closed back in March during the Lockdown that I realised what a massive difference steaming has to my skin.
This is not the cheapest option but it is amazing because it creates tiny particles of water than can penetrate deep into the skin. This removes impurities, open pores so any serums you use after can be absorbed fully and gives you a dewy, healthy glow. Steaming also helps to stimulate collagen production which means a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Perfectil Plus
Taking a vitamin or supplement that can support your diet is a must, even if we eat balanced diet there certain minerals and vitamins that our bodies stop producing as much off with time such as collagen.
My go to is The Perfectil Plus Skin extra support £12.63. It is an amazing option for someone who is not taking any other multi vitamins, it contains marine collagen, omega 3, Co-q10 as well as all of your other essential vitamins such as Vitamin C, all your B vitamins, Vitamin E amongst many more. It is an all rounder to get truly get everything you need for beautiful skin from the inside out.
All of these combined make it your best weapon for controlling acne, signs of ageing and just generally help to make your skin glow.
You may also benefit from them if you experience symptoms of PMS, fatigue, hair loss and joint pain.

3. Drunk Elephant C-Firma
I have been through so many brands of vitamin C serum and hands down Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum is the one for me. It is a day serum but I use it at night too and can feel how soft and glowy my skin is by morning. I found with other products that my skin felt dry after but this did the opposite because it has a nice amount of Hyaluronic Acid mixed in.
It is formulated to deliver results with 15% L-ascorbic Acid ( a potent form of vitamin C) vitamin E, pomegranate extract, ferric acid and pumpkin ferment.
Granted it is more expensive than many other brands but to see quick results it is worth the price. I haven’t found a mix that contains this concentration of L- Ascorbic with all the other extras.
I’d always recommend to use a strong SPF after applying this during the day.
